A fabulous first season with runners for Henrythenavigator shows no sign of slowing down and in France on Tuesday when it was the turn of Tuna Papita (2f Henrythenavigator-Viapervita, by Spectrum) to show her class.
After winning at Mont-de-Marsan in September for owner Team Hagada, the Francois Rohaut-trained filly had been sold to Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, and she looks to be a bright prospect after winning the Prix de Falaise in testing conditions at Deauville under Thierry Jarnet.
Tuna Papita was bred in the US by Norman Cheng, made $42,000 as a yearling at Keeneland and realised €85,000 at the Arqana Breeze-Up Sale in May. Her half-brother Brother Francis (by Lion Heart) finished third in the G2 Del Mar Derby in September and third in last year’s G1 Cash Call Futurity at Hollywood Park
Henrythenavigator is set to relocate to Coolmore in Ireland for the 2013 breeding season.
