Count Of Limonade (3c Duke Of Marmalade-Hoity Toity, by Darshaan) continued Duke Of Marmalade’s good run at the Curragh on Saturday when showing great tenacity to win the Listed Celebration Stakes.
Trainer Aidan O’Brien reported that the three-parts brother to dual G1 winner Lillie Langtry (by Danehill Dancer) is now likely to step up to Group company.
“He is tough and very like his daddy,” said O’Brien. “He is getting better with age. He likes fast ground and a mile and a quarter is no problem for him. We will look for a Group race for him now.”
Count Of Limonade, who was bred by K Lynch and S O’Sullivan, was scoring in a week in which unbeaten G1 Irish Oaks prospect Venus De Milo (3f Duke of Marmalade-Inchmahome, by Galileo) won the Listed Oaks Trial at Naas and Duchess Lemonade (3f Duke Of Marmalade-Spirit Of South, by Giant’s Causeway) won the Listed Preis Dusseldorf in Germany.
