Good Luck Gus (Lookin At Lucky) winning the Damon Runyon

Lucky Stakes-Winner at Aqueduct

Talented entire Good Luck Gus (4h Lookin at Lucky x Tacticmove, by Deputy Minister) was a stakes-winner at Saratoga last year and added another feature win to his resume when taking out the $100,000 Haynesfield Stakes at Aqueduct on Sunday. Prepared by Rudy Rodriguez, Good Luck Gus settled back to last and produced a strong late run to surge home and win the 1 and 1/16th mile contest by a neck.

Good Luck Gus has the smart record of five wins and four placings from 13 starts with prizemoney nearing $600,000.

A $97,000 Fasig-Tipton August Yearling, Good Luck Gus is the second winner for Tacticmove, a half-sister to Grade II winner Cat Fighter from dual Grade I winner Strategic Maneuver. Lookin at Lucky had a good weekend posting stakes-winners in North America and also in Australia where Chabaud (3f Lookin at Lucky x Rockadubai, by Fastnet Rock), from his one and only Australian crop of foals, won the Listed Tasmanian Oaks.
