Majestic Warrior was in hot form at Saratoga on the weekend with a sale-topping yearling and an impressive debut winner in Majestic Hussar (2c Majestic Warrior x Distorted Blaze, by Distorted Humor).
The Eddie Kenneally trained colt was easy in the betting, but turned in a thoroughly professional performance to win as he pleased.
Majestic Hussar jumped well for Jose Lezcano from a wide gate and quickly moved up to be third stalking the leaders before accelerating four wide to challenge coming to the turn.
From there, he powered home to win the six furlong maiden by six lengths to become the fifth winner for Majestic Warrior.
A homebred for Joseph Witek, Majestic Hussar is a half-brother to Grade III winner Joes Blazing Aaron and is the fifth winner for good producer Distorted Blaze.
