Milan’s Ttebbob looks chasing star

Ttebbob (6g Milan-Our Dream, by Bob Back) may have faced only two rivals in the rescheduled G3 Klairon Davis Novice Chase at Navan on Sunday but he could scarcely have scored more impressively. The Milan gelding made it two from two over fences as he cruised home to beat Lord Scoundrel by 41 lengths with another 94 lengths back to the third. A useful hurdler, Jessica Harrington’s charge looks even classier over the larger obstacles and could now step up to the top grade for his next run in the G1 Racing Post Novice Chase at Leopardstown over Christmas. “He didn't put a foot wrong and even when he does get in close he lands way out the far side,” Harrington told irishracing.com.  “He's very exciting and I'm very scared watching him. It's definitely heart in the mouth. “There are going to be horses take him on but the great thing with him is you can take him wide and let him do his own thing. “All being well he'll go to Leopardstown at Christmas for the two mile one furlong. I think I'll keep him at this trip. I know he has won over three miles and I know he stays.” Jockey Robbie Power was similarly impressed and added: "He still hasn't made a mistake! He was fantastic today. It would have taken a fair horse to lie up his backside the gallop he goes on that ground, and he maintains it. "My lad saw the first fence, took a hold of the bit, and winged it. The first three fences down the straight he stood at the wings and he just loves getting on with things. "I had a look round and I saw that Bryan (Cooper on Lord Scoundrel) was struggling and I let him pop the second last. I was kind of half trying to take him back going to the last and he grabbed hold of the bit again so I says 'go on and stand again at the wings if you want’.” Bred by Neil Tyrrell, Ttebbob is out of a half-sister to the high-class Sparky Gayle and from the family of top chaser Golden Freeze.
