Min (Walk In The Park) winning the G2 Coral Dublin Chase at Leopardstown

Min looks just Champion for Walk In The Park

The brilliant Min (7g Walk In The Park-Phemyka, by Saint Estephe) completed his preparation for the G1 Queen Mother Champion Chase at next month’s Cheltenham Festival with a slick victory at Leopardstown on Saturday.

The Walk In The Park gelding was one of the star turns on the opening day of the new Dublin Racing Festival when easily shaking off Simply Ned to win the G2 Coral Dublin Chase by 12 lengths.

Trainer Willie Mullins confirmed that a trip to Cheltenham was now the likely next port of call for Min.

“He did everything right in the race,” said Mullins. “I’d imagine he’ll go for the Champion Chase now, that looks the thing for him, we don’t have anything else in mind.

“They went very fast and David (Mullins) elected to settle him in and it made a huge difference. We changed our tactics a bit and it worked well.”
