Mondialiste wins G3 for Galileo, better to come

Trainer David O’Meara is set to step Mondialiste (5h Galileo-Occupandiste, by Kaldoun) up in company after the son of Galileo took the G3 Strensall Stakes at York on Saturday. Bred by the Wertheimer brothers, Mondialiste finished third in the G1 Prix Jean Prat as a three-year-old, and looks back to his best after this stylish victory. He was bought by owners Geoff and Sandra Turnbull for 190,000 euros at Arqana in July last year. "We thought he'd see the trip out well and as it turned out he needed every yard of it to get on top,” said O’Meara. "We'll have a look at going up another furlong maybe. We've got the G2 Joel Stakes at Newmarket as an option or the G2 Daniel Wildenstein in France. We haven't looked at the 1m 2f options yet, but we may have to now."
