More black-type for Peintre

The Wertheimer family home-bred Celebrissime (7g Peintre Celebre-Ring Beaune, by Bering) added another black-type success to his impressive CV when scoring at Saint-Cloud on Saturday.

A former gallops partner for the brilliant Goldikova, the Freddy Head-trained Celebrissime took the Listed Prix Altipan by an impressive four lengths.

The son of Peintre Celebre has an impressive CV that includes a fourth place in the G1 Prix d’Isaphan and another Listed success at Deauville.

“He’s a magnificent horse who hasn’t had much luck with his health, but he’s been a gallops partner for Goldikova in the past, and has always kept his enthusiasm in the mornings,” Head told “We’ll certainly look to go for the G3 Prix Edmond Blanc next.”
