Mountain on a High with p2p winner

Great things are predicted for the progeny of Group 1 winner Mountain High and the young Coolmore stallion enjoyed his first point-to-point winner on Saturday.

Mountain Tunes (4g Mountain High-Art Lover, by Over The River) proved five lengths too good for his rivals in the three-mile maiden point at the East Down meeting at Tyrella on Saturday.

The Irish point-to-point website ( reported that the Neil Tector-bred Mountain Tunes “showed an impressive turn of foot to quicken away from his rivals and score comfortably in the four year old maiden” to score for jockey Barry Browne and trainer Cian Hughes.

Mountain High , a beautifully-related son of Danehill out of Hellenic, is standing for a fee of €2,000 in 2013.
