Musir, the highest rated son of Champion sire Redoute’s Choice according to Timeform, has returned home to Coolmore at Jerry’s Plains and is now available for inspection.
Commenting on the new arrival, Coolmore’s Stud Manager Peter O’Brien said; ‘He arrived on Saturday and looks fantastic. It’s a homecoming of sorts for him as he was bred here on the farm and was an outstanding yearling that has grown into a particularly good looking horse.’
‘He’s a very strong, correct colt with lovely quality and he’s going to be a very impressive horse once he’s had an opportunity to let down. I’d strongly encourage breeders to come and have a look at him in advance of the breeding season – they won’t be disappointed’ added O’Brien.
A son of Redoute’s Choice, who has established a fine record as a sire of sires to date, Musir’s dam is a stakes placed daughter of Champion sire Encosta de Lago. Interestingly, Musir shares his third dam with Japanese Champion sire King Kamehameha.
A winner of six group races over the course of his career, more than any other colt by Redoute’s Choice, Musir was a Champion at two and three and retires to stud win impeccable credentials.
He will stand his first season at stud at Coolmore Australia at a fee of $16,500 and is now available for inspection by appointment. To make an appointment, please contact a member of the sales team at Coolmore on 02 6576 4200.
