Mutatis Mutandis (Mastercraftsman) winning the Listed Nottinghamshire Oaks at Nottingham

Mutatis Mutandis wins Oaks for Mastercraftsman

Nottingham’s richest-ever race drew an ultra-competiitve field but none could match the Mastercraftsman filly Mutatis Mutandis (4f Mastercraftsman-Amathia, by Darshaan). The improving grey, trained by Ed Walker for Andrew Black’s Chasemore Farm, had to come wide of the 13-strong field before prevailing in the Listed Nottinghamshire Oaks under Luke Morris. “George Baker said last time that a mile and a quarter is the trip for Mutatis Mutandis and Luke Morris confirmed that. I think she has come on again since (her previous win at) Windsor and I hope she can land a fillies´ Group 3,” Walker’s assistant Jack Steels told the Racing Post.

Bred by Kildaragh Stud, Mutatis Mutandis was bought for 160,000gns as a yearling by Blandford Bloodstock.
