New Stakes-Winner for Fusaichi Pegasus

Posting his first Black Type win on the weekend was Heitai (3g Fusaichi Pegasus x Sparkles of Luck, by Mr Sparkles), who saluted in the $100,000 Louisiana Champions Day Sprint at Fair Grounds.

Trained by Karl Broberg, Heiti bolted away to win the six furlong sprint by seven lengths, his overall record now four wins from 14 starts with prizemoney topping $238,000.

Heitai is a half-brother to stakes-placed Muffin and is the best of three winners from stakes-winner Sparkles of Luck.

Heitai is the 68th stakes-winner for Kentycky Derby winner Fusaichi Pegasus.
