Oratorio filly completes classic double in Italian Oaks

Cherry Collect (3f Oratorio-Holy Moon, by Hernando) confirmed herself one of Europe’s best three-year-old fillies on Saturday when beating a smart field impressively in the Italian Oaks.

The Oratorio filly, a three-time Listed-winning juvenile last year, headed to San Siro on the back of a victory in the G3 Premio Regina Elena, the Italian 1,000 Guineas.

The Stefano Botti-trained filly, who was bred by Razza del Velino, looked even better in a competitive renewal of the G2 Oaks d’Italia as she swooped in the home straight to land the prestigious prize by a length and a half.
