Oratorio filly Guineas-bound

Cherry Collect (3f Oratorio-Holy Moon, by Hernando) booked her ticket for the Italian 1,000 Guineas after an easy victory on her seasonal comeback in Milan on Saturday.

The Oratorio filly, who was bred by Razza del Velino, ran away with the Premio Erba, a conditions race over a mile, by three lengths in the colours of her Scuderia Effevi.

Owner Felice Villa told EBN: “We are very pleased and she will go straight to the Regina Elena (Italian 1,000 Guineas).”

Oratorio could have a British Classic contender this year in Pearl Bloodstock’s Pearl Mix (3c Oratorio-Rosamixa, by Linamix), who was recently entered in the G1 2,000 Guineas by trainer Ralph Beckett.
