Power surges in Milan

Power stallion shot in the field

There was another first-crop success for Power in Milan on Sunday when Biz Power (2c Power-Biz Bar, by Tobougg) won on his debut in style.

Trained by the Botti brothers, Biz Power caught the eye when taking this five-furlong event by three lengths. Bred in Ireland by Massimo Parri, he is owned by WE Bloodstock. He is a sibling to the 2013 G1 Gran Premio di Milano and G2 Derby Italiano hero Biz The Nurse (by Oratorio) and three other black-type performers.

EBN commented: “Biz Power (Power) was the most impressive winner of these traditional 1st May newcomers’ events. The well-built colt is not a pure sprinter, but recovered quickly after he stumbled leaving the gates. He circled the field on the outside and put the race to bed in a matter of strides to score by three easy lengths from Kobal Kolor. He is more precocious than his four Stakes performing siblings out of Biz Bar.”
