Promising 3YO for High Chaparral

Making it back to back metro wins at Warwick Farm on Wednesday was the Chris Waller trained three year-old Quick Strike (3g High Chaparral x Sutology, by Straussbrook), a $300,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Coolmore draft for Anton Koolman Bloodstock and Hermitage Thoroughbreds.

Improving with racing, Quick Strike placed at his first three runs before breaking through last Wednesday at Randwick and wasted no time adding a second win to his tally with a half-length victory in the 1600 metre Benchmark 66 event as favourite.

Quick Strike has already banked over $77,000 in prizemoney and is the fourth winner from four foals to race from Group II winner Sutology, whose three previous winners are the stakes performers Conscious Mistake, Berenice and Lukander.

The daughter of Straussbrook was sent back to High Chaparral last spring so will produce a full sibling to Quick Strike.
