Purple patch for Mountain High

Mountain High’s good run continued at Inchydoney yesterday when Next Lot landed the 5YO Maiden for Donnchadh Doyle. This is the third Mountain High sired point to point winner this season for Donnchadh Doyle, following on from the dual winner Mr Mountain and Ballysteen victor Air Glider.

During the month of May the Group 1-winning son of Danehill has also sired several smart winners on the racecourse. The first of these was Harry Fry’s four-year-old Air Horse One who won a bumper at Exeter first time out. “He looks to have a bright future as a hurdler,” reported the Racing Post.

More recently, John Joe Walsh’s Le Legro landed a bumper at Killarney while Mountain Philip won a Hunters Chase at Tipperary on his racecourse debut.
