Little Clarinet (2f Requinto-Filandre, by Cadeaux Genereux) looks another smart first-crop runner for Requinto after seeing off 15 rivals to win a Navan maiden on Saturday.
The David Marnane-trained filly, bred by Catherine O’Flynn and David Corcoran, overcame a wide draw of 16 to get up by half a length in the closing stages under Colm O’Donoughue.
“She’s a lovely filly and is still a bit green and will improve next year. We have her in the Tattersalls Sales race next weekend and she might run,” said Marnane.
“She’s a filly for next year, she is plenty big enough and still has a little bit of growing to do – I couldn’t be happier.”
