Rip Van Winkle Colt Impresses Kiwis

A colt from the first crop of Southern Hemisphere foals by triple Group I winner Rip Van Winkle fetched $75,000 to be the second highest priced offering during the first session of the 2013 NZB National Weanling Sale on Wednesday.

Consigned for sale by Mapperley Stud, the colt from Linnet was purchased by Tom Magnier and is from a daughter of Group II winner Balinchy.
