Seven Length Winner for Scat Daddy

Brilliant filly Pappascat (2f Scat Daddy x Redmeansgo, by Red Ransom) kicked off her career with a scintillating seven and a half length win at Ellis Park on Sunday.

The Garry Simms trained filly jumped swiftly and led throughout, before racing well clear to win the five and a half furlong maiden as she pleased.

A $77,000 purchase from the 2011 Keeneland September Yearling Sale, Pappascat is the third winner from three foals to race from stakes-placed Redmeansgo, a half-sister by Red Ransom to Grade I winner Al Qasr.

Pappascat is another smart prospect for Scat Daddy, who was the Champion US First Season Sire in 2011 and is leading the way again this year in the second season sires division.
