Slowmotion (Soldier Of Fortune) winning over fences at Naas

Smart chasing performance from Soldier Of Fortune mare

G2-winning hurdler Slowmotion (5m Soldier Of Fortune-Second Emotion, by Medaaly) broke her duck over fences at Naas on Sunday with an authoritative victory.

The Soldier Of Fortune mare, trained by Joseph O’Brien for J P McManus, always travelled well and got up in the closing stages of the two-mile contest to score by a length and a half.

“She can go up in trip and is versatile,” said O’Brien. “I thought she jumped well. She had a tough race in Leopardstown where they went at it the whole way, so we'll give her a bit of time now before we go again.”
