Smart French Winner for Grand Slam

Leading US sire Grand Slam produced a smart winner at Deauville in France with Dear Lavinia (2f Grand Slam x Baroness Richter, by Montjeu) scoring an easy victory.

A homebred for Joseph Allen prepared by Jean-Claude Rouget, Dear Lavinia made it two wins in as many starts when she cruised home to win the seven furlong event by three lengths.

Dear Lavinia is the first winner for stakes-winning Montjeu mare Baroness Richter.

Grand Slam is having his usual good season in the US where he is the sire of more than 80 winners this year.
