A half-brother to Group I winner Triple Honour, the Chris Waller trained Enormous Honour (3g Encosta de Lago x Myrrh, by Nassipour) scored his second win at Canterbury on Wednesday.
A three year-old gelding by Encosta de Lago, Enormous Honour broke his maiden at the same venue two weeks ago and was more impressive this time around when taking on Benchmark 70 company.
Sent out favourite with Nash Rawiller on board from gate one, Enormous Honour strode clear to win the 1550 metre event by a length and a half and has now won twice and placed twice from six starts earning over $80,000 in prizemoney.
A $300,000 NZB Premier purchase for his trainer from the Curraghmore Stud draft, Enormous Honour is a half-brother to $2.2 million earner and Group I AJC Doncaster Handicap winner Triple Honour being one of six winners from the good Nassipour producer Myrrh.
Myrrh has a weanling colt by Fastnet Rock and was covered again by him last spring.
