South African Group Winner for Mastercraftsman

The Group III Yellowwood Handicap for fillies and mares at Turffontein in South Africa on Saturday went the way of New Zealand bred The Centenary (4m Mastercraftsman x Diamantaire, by Montjeu).

Another stakes-winner for leading South African trainer Mike de Kock, The Centenary posted her fifth win from 15 starts when scoring by a length and a half in the 1800 metre contest.

A $40,000 NZB Select Sale purchase form the draft of Windsor Park Stud, The Centenary is the first stakes-winner for well-bred Montjeu mare Diamantaire, a grand-daughter of celebrated matriarch Eight Carat (GB).

She is the 25th stakes-winner for Danehill Dancer’s Group I winning son Mastercraftsman.
