Big plans for So You Think 3YO's

From just a handful of runners in 2017, 10-time G1 winner So You Think has a couple of very exciting prospects in Angel Island and Neguev. Both won well over the weekend and are being aimed at Classic trials for their next starts.

Trainer Fozzy Stack plans to step Angel Island (3f So You Think-Dombeya, by Danehill) into black-type company after she made an impressive winning debut at Cork on Sunday.

The first-crop So You Think filly ran away with the extended mile maiden by two lengths under Chris Hayes and she looks to have a bright future.

“She had been working well all spring and likes that ground. She had been with David Wachman last season and he hadn't done much with her as she's a big filly,” said Stack. "She'll have no problem getting an extra furlong or two and will go for the Listed Salsabil Stakes at Navan next."

So You Think looks to have a serious contender for the French Classics as the Jean-Claude Rouget trained Neguev (3c So You Think-Lady Bering, by Bering) enhanced his G1 claims with a facile success in the Prix La Lagune on Friday. The talented colt has now finished first past the post on each of his three starts and runs next in the G3 Prix de Guiche on May 7 before a crack at the G1 Prix du Jockey Club.

So You Think has already enjoyed G1 success from his first crop in Australia and is the leading second crop sire. La Diosa won the G1 NZ 1,000 Guineas last November and Inference scored in the G1 ATC Randwick Guineas in early March.
