Stakes win for unbeaten Fastnet filly

The John Oxx-trained Naughty Or Nice (3f Fastnet Rock-Monty’s Girl, by High Chaparral) made it two wins from as many starts when taking the Listed Irish Stallion Farms EBF Yeats Stakes at Navan on Saturday.

Home-bred by Newtown Anner Stud, Naughty Or Nice took the lead two furlongs out and battled gamely to bag victory under Declan McDonogh.

"For a green filly she was in front plenty soon enough but it's great to win with her,” said Oxx. "She stays well, she got the trip well and she has a bit of a turn of foot too. She's not one paced by any means. "She has an entry in the G2 Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot but that might be a fair jump up. We'll see as she's still quite green and might keep improving.” McDonogh added: "She is a nice filly. A lot of the horses in the race had more runs and experience. "She lacked that experience coming down the hill, she just rolled around a little bit on me. I would think there is more improvement to come.”
