Champion sire in USA in 2012, 2010 & 2009.

The best son of Storm Cat and one of the best sires in the world.

Champion freshman sire in Europe in 2004, Champion 2yo sire in U.S.A. in 2005 & 2014.

Giant’s Causeway has already sired champion 2-y-o’s, Classic winning 3-y-o’s, record breaking older horses, and exceptional colts and fillies on both dirt and turf.

He is the sire of 28 Gr.1 winners worldwide.

Giant’s Causeway was the champion sire in North America three times and 2013 saw his sons Footstepsinthesand, Intense Focus, Shamardal and First Samurai all sire Gr.1 winners, while his daughters produced the likes of the sensational Verrazano.

Giant’s Causeway’s bloodlines make this champion sire suitable for the majority of American mares. He has hardly any NATIVE DANCER blood and this helps explain why he has enjoyed spectacular success with descendants of MR PROSPECTOR.

Giant’s Causeway’s total of Graded winners from Mr Prospector line mares now stands at more than 30. His four Graded/Group winners out of MR PROSPECTOR mares include Ghanaati, winner of the 1,000 Guineas, and the top turf horse Aragorn.

Giant’s Causeway has an impressive total of nine Gr.1 winners out of grand-daughters of Mr Prospector – Shamardal is out of a daughter of MACHIAVELLIAN, Maids Causeway and Red Giant are both out of KINGMAMBO mares, My Typhoon is out of a MISWAKI mare, Frost Giant is out of a GONE WEST mare and Giant Oak is out of a CRAFTY PROSPECTOR mare. His Gr.1-winning daughters Internallyflawless, Swift Temper and Carriage Trail are all out of SEEKING THE GOLD mares. KINGMAMBO mares now have seven Stakes winners – 19% – from 36 foals by Giant’s Causeway.

Two of Giant’s Causeway’s other Gr.1 winners have Mr Prospector’s son FAPPIANO in their pedigrees – First Samurai and Heatseeker. Fappiano also sired the dam of the Gr.2 winner Diamond Omi, while his sons RUBIANO and QUIET AMERICAN and grandson UNBRIDLED’S SONG are respectively the broodmare sires of the Gr.2 winners Neko Bay, Quiet Giant and Hold Me Back.

Gr.2 winner Naissance Royal is from a mare by FORTY NINER. Mares by Forty Niner’s son DISTORTED HUMOR look to have huge potential with Giant’s Causeway, all the more so because his first six foals out of them include the Gr.1 winner Book Review and the Gr.2 winner Caroline Thomas.

Mares by THUNDER GULCH have 27 foals by Giant’s Causeway and they include five Stakes winners (19%). TORRENTIAL, another son of GULCH, sired the dam of Giant’s Causeway’s 2013 European classic winner Penelopa.

Giant’s Causeway’s matings with SADLER’S WELLS mares are bearing fruit, with Giants Play, Palavicini, Viscount Nelson, Alsace Lorraine and the Gr.1 winner Eishin Apollon all winning at stakes level. Giant’s Causeway’s matings with DANEHILL mares have yielded Gr.1 winners in Britain (Intense Focus) and Australia. He also has the Japanese Gr.3 winner A Shin G Line out of a DANZIG mare, plus the Gr.1 winner Dalkala out of an ANABAA mare. He could suit daughters of WAR FRONT, HARD SPUN and EXCHANGE RATE.

His high-class sons First Samurai and Await The Dawn have dams by DIXIELAND BAND, while another Gr.1 winner, Aragorn, has a NORTHERN DANCER mare as his second dam. Maids Causeway and Niagara Causeway are Graded winners inbred to Northern Dancer, with the second line coming via NUREYEV

DEPUTY MINISTER’s sons DEHERE, SILVER DEPUTY and FRENCH DEPUTY rank among the broodmare sires of Giant’s Causeway’s Graded winners. This suggests that AWESOME AGAIN mares would also suit. Giant’s Causeway’s classic-winning son Footstepsinthesand and the Gr.1-winning Heatseeker are inbred 4×3 to BLUSHING GROOM.

SEATTLE SLEW is broodmare sire of Giant’s Causeway’s very talented son Eskendereya. This links to the impressive record Seattle Slew mares built with Storm Cat. Seattle Slew also sired the second dam of Gr.1 winner Frost Giant. Giant’s Causeway also has Graded winners out of mares by Seattle Slew’s sons CAPOTE and A.P. INDY.

Giant’s Causeway’s second dam was a stakes-winner by ROBERTO. He has GSW’s out of daughters of KRIS S. and LEAR FAN which are therefore inbred to ROBERTO, including the Gr.1 winner Rite of Passage.
