A brilliantly fast winner of 4 Group 1 races including 2 Classics.

“I find it hard to think that I’ve had a better miler, He’s a great horse – exceptional. He has speed, stamina, class, pick up and a great attitude. He’s unique.” Aidan O Brien.

Henrythenavigator is rated higher by Timeform than his own sire Kingmambo.

Champion first crop sire in USA, his first 2 crops include 3 Gr.1 winners!

Sudirman, winner of the Phoenix Stakes-Gr.1 in record time

Pedro The Great, winner of the Phoenix Stakes-Gr.1 by nearly 3 lengths!

George Vancouver, brilliant winner of the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf-Gr.1

Other Stakes performers include Zhiyi, Jubliant Girl, Cristoforo Colombo, Infanta Branca, Afonso De Sousa, Sandtop, Estellara, Applicator, Henry The King, Rednav, Lite’n In My Veins & Amerigo Vespucci.

The potency of Henrythenavigator’s bloodlines is highlighted by the fact that he is one of seven major winners sired by Kingmambo from daughters of Sadler’s Wells. The others include classic winners in Divine Proportions and Virginia Waters, plus the Japanese superstar El Condor Pasa. The Epsom Derby winner Workforce is by a son of Kingmambo out of a daughter of Sadler’s Wells.

Henrythenavigator was a good winner of the Gr.2 Coventry S. before developing into an outstanding miler. His juvenile ability enabled him to make an immediate impact with his first two crops of two-year-olds, which included two winners of the Gr.1 Phoenix S. and one of the Gr.1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf.

Henrythenavigator’s Gr.1 winner George Vancouver is out of a DANZIG mare. Another of Kingmambo’s sons, Thewayyouare, sired the very smart Toast Of New York from a grand-daughter of DANZIG. This suggested that Henrythenavigator has plenty to offer this line, including daughters of DANEHILL, GREEN DESERT and other DANZIG stallions. Sure enough, his Gr.1 Phoenix S. winner Sudirman is out of a grand-daughter of GREEN DESERT.

He already has two useful 2yos out of DANEHILL mares, which suggests that more DANEHILL mares are merited and Henrythenavigator should also shine with daughters of DANSILI, ROCK OF GIBRALTAR, EXCEED AND EXCEL, HOLY ROMAN EMPEROR, DANEHILL DANCER, MOZART, DANETIME etc.

STORM CAT line mares appeal as Henrythenavigator’s smart son CRISTOFORO COLOMBO has a dam by JOHANNESBURG. Henrythenavigator could also do well with mares by such as SHAMARDAL and FOOTSTEPSINTHESAND.

Kingmambo owed some of his best offspring to the NIJINSKY line, siring Gr.1 winners from daughters of NIJINSKY, NINISKI, ROYAL ACADEMY and CAERLEON. Henrythenavigator has obvious potential in this area and has already sired Group performers from mares by CAERLEON and ROYAL ACADEMY. The second dam of his Gr.1 winner Pedro The Great is a grand-daughter of NIJINSKY.

Kingmambo and several of his sons have Group winners inbred to NUREYEV and Henrythenavigator is following suit, his Group-placed son Afonso de Sousa being inbred 4×2 and his stakes winner Jubliant Girl is 4×3. As his Coventry S. third Sir John Hawkins is inbred 3×3 to SADLER’S WELLS.

Henrythenavigator is a grandson of MR PROSPECTOR but that hasn’t stopped him siring Cristoforo Colombo from a mare inbred 4×4 to MR PROSPECTOR.

Henrythenavigator will be suited by more NEVER BEND blood. The similarly-bred El Condor Pasa sired the Japan Cup Dirt winner Alondite from a RIVERMAN mare. Another of Kingmambo’s Japanese sons, King Kamehameha, sired the Japan Cup winner Rose Kingdom, who has a second dam by SHIRLEY HEIGHTS.

Of Kingmambo’s Gr.1 winners, the Japanese horse Star King Man has a dam by BLUSHING GROOM and Thewayyouare has a second dam by him. Henrythenavigator’s first Gr.1 winner, Pedro The Great, is out of a mare by RAINBOW QUEST.
