Star Sprinter for Scat Daddy

No Nay Never (Scat Daddy) winning the Grade III Woodford Stakes at Keeneland

Winner of the Group I Prix Morny in France at two, sizzling sprinter No Nay Never (3c Scat Daddy x Cat’s Eye Witness, by Elusive Quality) struck top form to win the Grade III Woodford Stakes at Keeneland on the weekend.

Prepared by Wesley Ward, No Nay Never took the five and a half furlong sprint on turf by half a length taking his overall record to four wins and a second from five starts.

“He’s a big, blocky, extremely fast horse—I thought this would be a great spot to bring him back and springboard him back into what we’re going to do,” said Ward.

“We’re going to sit down and talk with [co-owners] Dave Reid, Frank Antonacci and the boys at Coolmore and see what direction they want to go. He’s equally as good on the dirt. I just wanted to bring him back into this, see how he comes back, and more likely than not [go to] the [GI] Breeders’ Cup Sprint.”

Scat Daddy also had a brilliant two year old debut winner at Delaware with Sing Lady Sing (2f Scat Daddy x Saint Bernadette, by Saint Ballado) zooming clear to win over 1m 70yds by six and a half lengths for the Michael Matz stable.
