The Richard Hannon-trained Redact (2c Strategic Prince-Rainbow Java, by Fairy King), a first-crop son of brilliant juvenile Strategic Prince, looked out of the ordinary when scoring at Salisbury on Saturday night.
An easy winner on his debut at Lingfield, Redact made a smooth transition to novice compnay as he strolled to a five-length success from previous winner Son Du Silence. For good measure his stablemate Mr Knightley (2c Strategic Prince-Emma’s Surprise, by Tobougg), another son of Strategic Prince, took third place.
Redact, who is owned by Kennet Valley Thoroughbreds, was bred by Mr and Mrs Derek Veitch and is a 25,000 euros graduate of the Goffs Orby Yearling Sale.
Strategic Prince was also on the mark in Italy on Friday night when Frolinda (2f Strategic Prince-Input, by Primo Dominie) was an easy winner.
