Talkischeap continues great run for Getaway

Talkischeap (Getaway) jumping the last before going on to win his point-to-point on debut

A memorable week for Getaway continued on Sunday when Talkischeap (4g Getaway-Carrigmoorna Oak, by Milan) was successful on his debut.

Trained by Donnchadh Doyle, Talkischeap triumphed by six lengths in his first start at Lisbeg with Roger Quinlan in the saddle.

“TALKISCHEAP (IRE) produced a very professional performance on debut. A notable feature of his victory here was his jumping throughout. He consolidated his advantage up front with a number of excellent leaps. This together with the striking turn of foot he showed in the latter stages ensures that Getaway-sired newcomer rates a fine prospect for inside the rails likely to have little difficulty in scoring over shorter distances if required.” P2P.ie

A week earlier, the Colin Bowe-trained Getabird (4g Getaway-Fern Bird, by Revoque) won his first start at Largy and was sold four days later at Punchestwon for €200,000 to join Willie Mullins.
