So You Think colt impresses in Irish maiden win for Weld

The famous Calumet Farm colours were carried to victory at Navan on Monday evening by So You Thought (3c So You Think-Lady Of Akita, by Fantastic Light) in a 15-runner maiden for trainer Dermot Weld.

The So You Think colt, who finished a promising third on his debut earlier in the month, hit the front two furlongs out in the mile event and impressed jockey Pat Smullen.

"He had a nice run at Leopardstown on his debut and was entitled to be thereabouts. He improved a bit,” said Smulllen. Bred in the US by Runnymede Farm and Peter Calahan, So You Thought was sold for $150,000 as a yearling at the Keeneland September Sale.
