Unbeaten Excelebration colt “potentially Group class”

The David Simcock-trained Brittanic (3c Excelebration-Fountain Of Peace, by Kris S) put in an outstanding performance at Newcastle on Wednesday when running away with a conditions event.

The first-crop Excelebration colt, bred by Fountain Syn and Flaxman Stables, was making it two wins from two starts as he coasted to a length and three-quarters success.

The Racing Post commented: “BRITTANIC laughed at his rivals when allowed to make his move and impressively added to his course maiden 27 days previously. He’s bred to appreciate this sort of stiffer test and, in decent hands, is clearly a 3yo going places. He rates potentially Group class.”

Winning rider Tom Eaves added: “That’s twice Brittanic has run, and twice he’s not really come off the bridle. He’s travelled really well into it and he did it very easily.”

Excelebration went on to complete a double at Newcastle when the Bryan Smart-trained Royal Celebration (3g Excelebration-Auntie Kathryn, by Acclamation) scored.
