US Debut Winner for Henry

Exciting young sire Henrythenavigator featured with a debut winner at Laurel on Monday when Amerigo Vespucci (2c Henrythenavigator x Senza Paura, by Fly Til Dawn) scored a stylish victory.

Trained by Timothy J Tullock Jr, Amerigo Vespucci settled back in the field three wide and made good ground coming to the turn, before surging hard over the final furlong to win the six furlong maiden by two lengths.

Amerigo Vespucci is a half-brother to stakes-winner Gatto Pardo from stakes-winner Senza Paura and is the 11th first crop winner in the Northern Hemisphere for champion miler Henrythenavigator, who has already posted a Group I winner in Pedro the Great, winner of the Phoenix Stakes at The Curragh.
