Off Limits (Mastercraftsman) winning the Gr.3 Noble Damsel Stakes

US Grade Three Winner for Mastercraftsman

Already a stakes-winner in Ireland, talented mare Off Limits (5m Mastercraftsman x Ravish, by Efisio) upped the ante when scoring a resounding victory in the $196,000 Grade III Noble Damsel Stakes at Belmont on Saturday. Previously prepared by David Wachman, for whom she won the Listed Killarney Cairn Rouge Stakes, Off Limits is now owned by Martin Schwartz with Chad Brown training. She has shown good improvement this year culminating in this powerful four and three-quarter length win in the one mile feature on turf. "It seemed like it was an honest pace in front of me and I just listened to the instructions,” said winning rider Joel Rosario. “Chad Brown told me to let her get comfortable and let her come with a run at the end and she did. She really sprinted turning for home. I tipped her on the outside turning for home and it was all her. “I think she seems fine [at a mile]. She's very nice and I don't think she'd have a problem a little further, too."

By dashing grey Danehill Dancer sire Mastercraftsman, Off Limits has won five of 15 starts and is the best of four winners from Ravish, a half-sister to stakes-winner Special Discount.
