US Juvenile Stakes-Winner for Galileo

Champion sire Galileo featured with a new stakes-winner in the US at the weekend where Global View (2c Galileo x Egyptian Queen, by Storm Cat) captured the Grade III Generous Stakes at Betfair Hollywood Park.

Trained by Thomas Proctor for Glen Hill Farm, Global View made it two wins from three starts when taking the one mile contest on turf by a length and a quarter for Joe Talamo.

“He’s a really nice horse and has always acted like a nice horse,” said Tom Proctor.

“He’s bred to run all day, so I wasn’t worried about that. He relaxed, [Joe Talamo] gave him a good trip, and it makes a horse look better when they get a good trip. It’s nice to get a stakes win in him and we’ll go from there.”

A $500,000 Keeneland September purchase, Global View is the first stakes-winner for unraced Egyptian Queen, a half-sister by Storm Cat to Grade II winner AP Warrior.

He is the 154th stakes-winner for Galileo, who goes from strength to strength.
