US Stakes-Winner for Danehill Dancer

Progressive filly Maximova (3f Danehill Dancer x Honoria, by Sadler’s Wells) maintained her unbeaten record when taking out the $90,000 Bit of Whimsy Stakes at Belmont.

A homebred for Gallagher’s Stud prepared by Christophe Clement, Maximova made it three wins in as many starts when scoring a tenacious head win in the 1 and 1/8th mile contest.

Maximova is the first stakes-winner for stakes-winning Sadler’s Wells mare Honoria, who comes from the family of US Grade I winner Honour and Glory.

She is the 145th stakes-winner for veteran sire Danehill Dancer, who turned 20 this year.
