Vancouver sails to easy success

George Vancouver (2 c Henrythenavigator x Versailles Treaty, by Danzig) provided Henrythenavigator with an impressive first-crop winner as he posted a facile victory in a Dundalk maiden.

Trained by Aidan O’Brien, George Vancouver was always towards the head of affairs and skipped clear inside the final furlong to score easily in the six-furlong Polytrack contest.

“He really quickened up today and sprinted all the way to the line,” winning jockey Joseph O’Brien told irishracing.com. “He wants good ground as Henrythenavigator wanted it quick. He’s a stallion going places.

“He’s always shown plenty of speed from day one. He’s only won a maiden there but I’d imagine he’ll step up to Listed or Group class now.”
