Power’s brilliant start continued on Monday when Mark Johnston sent out Wheneverwecan (2f Power-Jallaissine, by College Chapel) to score at Musselburgh.
The filly, bred by Michael O’Mahony, had finished second on debut on testing ground and connections feel there is better to come from this speedy juvenile.
“It was a real bog when she ran first time at Thirsk and she appreciated the faster ground here,” trainer’s wife Deidre Johnston told the Racing Post. “The jockey (Joe Fanning) thinks she’ll do even better when stepped up in trip.”
This latest success means that three of Power’s four starters have won so far.
