Winning Debut for Giant Filly

Alien Giant (Giant's Causeway) winning on debut at Santa Anita

Talented filly Alien Giant (2f Giant’s Causeway x Alienation, by Rock Hard Ten) scored a dominant debut victory at Santa Anita on Thursday.

A homebred for Mercedes Stables prepared by Robertino Diodoro, Alien Giant had shown good ability on the training tracks and ran up to her potential in bounding straight to the lead.

The daughter of champion sire Giant’s Causeway kicked away turning for home and was allowed to coast to the line, taking the four and a half furlong scamper by three and a half lengths.

She is likely to run in the $125,000 Landaluce Stakes for juvenile fillies at 5 ½ furlongs on June 21.

Alien Giant is the first winner for Grade I placed Alienation, who comes from the family of Grade I winners Judge Angelucci, Peace and War.
