Yeats store realises €160,000

Demand for Yeats’ progeny showed no sign of letting up on the second day of the Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale at Fairyhouse on Thursday when his standout lot was a €160,000. Out of the Linamix mare Valleya, a full-sister to Valiramix, the three-year-old was sold to agent Aiden Murphy from Mount Brown Farm. Gerry Griffin and Bobby O’Ryan were among the disappointed bidders.

“He is a fabulous walker and the nicest Yeats in the sale,” said Murphy. Yeats also had a €125,000 offering on the sale’s first day.
