Galileo ex Pearling filly foal selling for 1.7m at Tattersalls

1.7m gns for Galileo foal

A daughter of Galileo became the highest-priced filly foal in the world this year when realising 1.7 million guineas at Tattersalls on Friday.

Out of Pearling, a full-sister to Giant’s Causeway and close relation to Gleneagles, she was bought by Tony Nerses on behalf of joint-breeder Imad Al Sagar.

"She has been bought for Imad," explained Nerses, after outbidding Hugo Lascelles. "Saleh Al Homaizi is moving away from some of the horses – not all – and Imad was very keen to retain this filly.

"She has a wonderful page, is an absolute sweetheart and is as a sister to Decorated Knight who is very special to us."
