$170,000 for Competitive Edge Colt

A Grade I winning 2YO by Kentucky Derby winner Super Saver, Competitive Edge has been making a good impression with his first crop of yearlings including a colt that made $170,000 at the Fasig-Tipton October Fall Yearling Sale this week.

Consigned by Bill Murphy, the first foal of Hashtagsid was widely admired and eventually knocked down to Michael Neatherlin. He is from a half-sister by Scat Daddy to stakes-winner Clear Pasaj from the family of French Grade I winner Treizieme.

Competitive Edge has had a good number of yearlings this year sell for in excess of $100,000 and stands at the affordable fee of $7,500.
