Adele Strike Takes Win Streak to Three For Competitive Edge
Ace Korean filly Adele Strike (3f Competitive Edge x Ice Curlin, by Curlin) took her win streak to three on Friday when winning at Busan in South Korea.
Stretching back out to seven furlongs, Adele Strike went straight for the lead out of the gate in her normal style with jockey Jin Kyum looking confident. Kyum gave her an easy ride until the last furlong when the field started to close in. Once urged on, Adele Strike gained control of the race yet again to win by a length and a half for trainer Baik Kwang Yeol and owner Janghyun Lee.
Adele Strike has won all three of her starts in 2020 and has four wins from eight runs with two other top three finishes.
Ice Curlin was exported to South Korea while carrying Adele Strike. She is a half-sister to Grade III winner Good Student and the dam of Grade III Classy Class.
Among the leading Freshmen Sires last year, Competitive Edge has proved to be immense value with 35 winners and six stakes horses including four stakes winners.
