Global Glamour

Another Million Dollar Mare for Justify

Dual Group I winner Global Glamour was offered at the 2019 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale on Wednesday on behalf of her all women group of owners from the It’s All About the Girls Syndicate with happy results all round.

Coolmore's Tom Magnier teamed up with Baramul Stud's Gerry Harvey and James Bester, who bought her as a yearling, to purchase the star mare from the Widden Stud draft for $1.55 million in foal to Widden’s leading young sire Zoustar.

"She has a lot of quality," a delighted Tom Magnier reported. "And she was a great race filly.

"We are delighted to be able to get her and to have Gerry involved is fantastic. She will be sent to Justify this spring.

"Magic Millions has done a great job. They've got all the right people to the Gold Coast and all the best judges were on her.

"James is a great judge and he bought a great filly (as a yearling) and well done to everyone who went into the ladies syndicate.

"I thought it was a great initiative from Katie and I think there should be far more things like that going on and you see the result that she got today, it's great for the sport."

Global Glamour was the most expensive mare offered on Wednesday and Tom Magnier also signed for the second highest priced mare, who is also destined to visit Justify this spring.

He paid $875,000 for Extra Olives, a Group III placed daughter of Redoute’s Choice in foal to I Am Invincible.
