Daughter Of Camelot Shines Bright On Debut

The John Gosden-trained Moonlight In Paris (2f Camelot - Malayan Mist, by Dansili) showed a likeable attitude when making a winning debut in Wednesday’s fillies’ maiden at Nottingham.

Owned by Sean Mulryan, Mrs John Magnier and Mrs Paul Shanahan, the bay debuted over an extended mile, with Kieran O’Neill in the saddle. Held up in the early stages, she made headway approaching the three furlong pole and led from over a furlong out. Ridden out, she dug deep to hold off stablemate Sun Bear by a short head on the line.

Moonlight In Paris was bred by Skymarc Farm and sold for 320,000gns as a yearling to John and Jake Warren. The daughter of Camelot is out of a winning half-sister to three black-type performers and comes from the family of Joshua Tree (Montjeu).
