Fourth Winner for Competitive Edge
Promising filly Edge of Okotoks (2f Competitive Edge x Bronze Route, by Mud Route) became the fourth winner for exciting young sire Competitive Edge when racing to a dominant debut victory on Saturday at Century Mile.
Trained by Tim Ryecroft, she shot to an early lead in the four and a half furlong scamper and was never challenged, cruising home to win by two lengths for Riversedge Racing Stables.
Edge of Okotoks is a half-sister to stakes-winners Top Seed and Bronzed being the seventh winner from good producer Bronze Route, a half0sister to Grade I winner Golden Ballet, the dam of Grade I winner Drosselmeyer.
Competitive Edge made a big splash at the two year-old sales this year and his progeny have made an immediate impression on the racetrack with Edge of Okotoks his fourth winner from just nine runners.
