New Stakes-Winner for Giant

Improving filly I O Ireland (3f Giant’s Causeway x Ioya Two, by Lord at War) landed her first Black Type success when taking out the $81,050 Hatoof Stakes at Arlington Park on the weekend. A homebred for Team Block trained by Chris Block, I O Ireland improved sharply on recent efforts to score a tenacious neck win in the 1 and 1/16th mile event on turf. I O Ireland has won three of nine starts and is a half-sister to Grade III winners Amazing Results and Ioya Bigtime being from Grade III winner Ioya Two. I O Ireland is the 132nd stakes-winner worldwide for champion sire Giant’s Causeway.
