Second Winner for Competitive Edge

Exciting young sire Competitive Edge posted his second winner at Belmont on Thursday with a stylish debut victory for My Italian Rabbi (2f Competitive Edge x Golden Miss, by Golden Missile).

Trained by Jeremiah Englehart, My Italian Rabbi pressed the leader through a brisk opening quarter and hit the line hard to win the five furlong maiden running away by two and a half lengths.

A $160,000 yearling purchase, My Italian Rabbi runs for Gold Square LLC and is the fourth winner from Golden Miss, a half-sister to stakes-winner Tingwithasting from stakes-winner Notable Sword.

Competitive Edge has set the sale rings alight this year at the two year-olds in training sales and already has two winners and a runner-up from his first four starters with his other winner Reiterate successful at Gulfstream.
