Stakes Aim For Impressive Maiden Winner By Camelot

A step up in class is on the cards for Lady Stormborn (3f Camelot - Chiming, by Danehill) after running out an extremely impressive winner of Saturday’s ten furlong maiden at Leopardstown.

A promising third on debut in July, she was reunited with Andy Slattery to race towards the back of the field, taking closer order from three furlongs out and travelled well into the lead a furlong later. Soon clear, she stayed on well to win by 14 lengths, unchallenged.

Speaking after the race, winning trainer Andy Slattery commented, “She'd been working well and I thought she'd win. We'll look and see if there's a Listed race for her.”

Owned by Paul Kinane and bred by Rockhart Trading, Lady Stormborn is related to two highly-rated performers out of Grade 3 winner Chiming.
